Established in 2023, we are a small, independent and privately owned residential home and rehabilitation centre in the heart of the beautiful historic spa town of Harrogate. Sapphire Court is situated in a large Victorian villa at the top of Cold Bath Road near the crossroads at Otley Road, just a five minute drive to RHS Harlow Carr and a five minute walk to the Stray. There is a variety of things to do and see in the area. Heading south down Cold Bath Road there’s the Valley Gardens, the Royal Pump Room Museum, Betty’s and the Turkish Baths. The surrounding area is interesting, beautiful and historic. We understand that Cold Bath Road was developed from the 1850s and so many of the surrounding properties are Victorian. Cold Bath Road is home to a variety of establishments from restaurants, bars and delis to shops selling vintage goods, hardware, antiques and curios.
Sapphire Court is a small and comfortable residential home on three floors. After an extensive period of renovation and refurbishment all of our twenty five bedrooms have new furnishings and fittings, including a profiling bed, armchair, wardrobe, bedside table and chest of drawers. The majority of bedrooms have ensuite facilities. Each bedroom is waiting for you to personalise it with your own pictures, ornaments, photographs and memories. It is important that your bedroom is your haven where you feel comfortable and content. All bedrooms have a nurse call system so you can call for help if you need it. There is wheelchair access to and from the building and a lift serving all floors of the building.
There are several areas in the home where you can relax and socialise. There is a lounge at the front of the property looking out onto Cold Bath Road and another lounge at the rear of the property. There is a dining room facing the courtyard where you can enjoy chef’s freshly prepared tasty meals and snacks. There is a front garden framed by mature trees and shrubs where it is nice to sit and watch what’s happening on Cold Bath Road or watch the birds feeding on the bird tables. In the rear courtyard you can sit and read, have a coffee -or a glass of wine-read the newspapers, or chat to friends and family.
We have some limited parking on site, however, there is parking available on nearby side streets.
